Milk and Honey Mini Review

milk and honey
Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

Milk and Honey is a collection of poems about survival and life. It is split into four chapters. Each chapter deals with different aspects of life;  the hurting, the loving, the breaking, and the healing.

The only way to describe Kaur’s poems is ‘simple but powerful’. Each poem has so much truth behind them that you can’t help but feel a wave of emotion at the words.

I read them in one sitting but couldn’t help but go back and pore over them again. If you are a fan of poetry definitely give thees a go. I believe everyone takes something different away from these poems. Personally I really related to the feminist aspect of these poems. I agreed with every word!

Have you read these poems? Do you have a favourite poet?
