Hi all!! Here is another post on how I kept myself busy during Lockdown. Although I am back in the office 2 days a week (the rest is still homeworking), I am still following lock down rules, I’m not quite ready to face shopping centres or pubs yet. Therefore I still have a lot of free time to try new things. I spoke about my new love for jigsaws in my last post and now here are a few things I have tried.
- Brush Lettering!
I have tried this on and off in the past but got really disheartened with my first attempt. However, a friend of mine gave myself and a few friends a short lesson. I have then been using youtube tutorial clips to practice. I am really enjoying it and try and do it at least 3 times a week. I am posting my progress on my instastory now and then so keep an eye out! I’ve also bought an ipad stylus to try doing some on my ipad. My friend has recommended it so thought I’d give it a go. - Yoga
I have to admit this last all of 2 weeks. I started doing it every day before week but over time I started sleeping in more and more and found myself with less time to do anything before work. Please tell me I am not the only one who lost a little bit of motivation after a few weeks of lockdown ๐คฆโโ๏ธ. Was there anything you started or wanted to start in lockdown that never happened? - Ab 30 day challenge
Although I really loved this app, the motivation decreased quickly with this too, so I didn’t finish the challenge. However, i learnt some new ab exercises that I have been doing when I have free time and I have been seeing some changes. So overall a success I think! - Poetry writing
I used to write poetry a lot so I promised myself I’d try it again. I’ve only written a few but it has nice to get back into it. Hopefully I’ll have the courage to share them one day. - Training my dog – we’ve had some successes with this but I think she is now bored of my whole family being around all the time. But we have gotten sit, lie down, paw, fetch and jump sorted. We almost have hide too. This is where she hides her face with her paws which is the cutest trick ever!
Well there you go! Not much but still better than nothing! Did you try anything new at all? I’d love to hear about it ๐๐

This is such a great idea for a post! Would you mind if I did a similar one? I’ll link back to you of course!

So glad you’ve had the chance to get back into it!! It’s great when you can find an old passion you used to love and brings you joy.

Sounds great! I tried doing yoga as well (before the lockdown) but I quickly gave up because I found it to be too time-consuming. Not sure if that makes any sense xD

Sounds like the dog training is going well! my dog is getting there slowly, come along way in the lat few months, but still need to teach him to stop trying to greet every single dog he meets haha!

Yeah socialising them with other dogs is tricky. Covid really messed up our training. We were in the middle of going to lessons and they got moved online which didn’t work out very well. Hope it goes well with your dog! Keep me updated ๐ I love hearing about people’s progress so i can get ideas.

Love this list!! I’ve tried the abs challenge but also lost motivation pretty quickly aha. But I started to run, which I’m actually enjoying, surprisingly!

Glad you’re enjoying running! I am so rubbish at it so I’m always really impressed at people that can do it.

This is a great idea for a blog post! I haven’t tried many new things while lockdown has occurred. I’ve mainly been focussing on my blog and reading more which I’ve really enjoyed. I’d love to try yoga eventually and brush lettering sounds amazing too ๐
