Truth Be Told Blog Tour

I received this book on netgalley and I was so excited to then be a part of the blog tour! Thank you so much HQ stories! I was a huge fan of her first book and had really been looking forward to reading her next one and I was not disappointed!

I thought it couldn’t get better than her first book but I was wrong, Truth Be Told was amazing! Discussing the topic of male rape and toxic masculinity can be a minefield but she did it with intelligence and empathy. I was in true awe of the plot and the characters she brought to life. Like her first book I found myself going back and for on what the outcome of the case would be and just like the first I was left in complete shock at the ending. For the second book in a row she has completely blown me away. Can’t wait to read her next book.

Abdullah’s crime books will be my go to for years to come. Her characters are so intriguing and the web of their lives that it built up through the books has kept me hooked. Her protagonist Zara is slowly becoming one of my favourite literary characters. She is strong, independent, intelligent and fiercely loyal. A true joy to read.

All I can say is that if you haven’t read her books then go do it now because you will never see the ending coming!
